Merrimack College seeks a dynamic professional to take the role of Enrollment Marketing Specialist for Graduate Marketing. Reporting to the AVP, Enrollment Marketing, this position plays an integral role in attracting, nurturing and yielding students for Merrimack’s programs through high-quality communications and promotions. You will work closely with Graduate Admissions, Communications, and academic program directors to deliver multifaceted marketing and recruitment plans.
Support the inquiry-to-student communication plan by drafting and executing compelling segmented and personalized emails using Slate enrollment management software. Coordinate email, web, and social messaging while helping develop creative themes for promotions. Work with outside partners to develop materials such as brochures, print ads, posters, and postcards.
Collaborate with the Office of Communications to create website and social media content promoting graduate programs, including influencer content, deadlines, events, stories, and news. Drive sourcing and production of video content like alumni testimonials and program spotlights. Assist with WordPress editing, program page optimization, campaign reporting using UTM parameters, and marketing for 8-10 admissions events.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment promoting 40+ graduate programs across six schools including business, counseling, education, health sciences, liberal arts, and engineering. Successful candidates bring a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, excellent writing, and focus on business results. Be entrepreneurial in adopting AI tools for workflow, content, and efficiency gains.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, English or related field required
- 2-3 years of marketing experience, preferably working with education organizations or clients
- Deep familiarity with digital/social channels and best practices
- Willingness to be entrepreneurial in adopting new applications, processes, and ideas including leveraging AI tools
- Adept at using AI tools for workflow and content development to expand quality and efficiency
- Strong project management skills with experience managing and prioritizing tasks
- Keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, excellent writing ability
- Unwavering focus on business results and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Support the inquiry-to-student communication plan through drafting and executing compelling segmented and personalized emails using Slate
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Office of Communications in developing website and social media content to promote graduate programs
- Help develop creative themes for promotions and work with outside partners to develop brochures, print ads, posters, and postcards
- Assist with the creation and editing of web pages in WordPress and optimization of program description pages
- Drive the sourcing and production of video content for digital and social media, including testimonials and spotlights
- Assist with regular reporting of email and marketing results, including creating UTM parameters to track campaigns
- Conduct marketing and social media activities for approximately 8-10 prospective student admissions events
- Handle administrative duties such as assisting with mailings, hanging posters, managing inventory, or ordering supplies
