Technical tasks include conceptual site layout, utility design, roadway design, site grading design, storm drain design, storm water management design, water and sanitary sewer main design, soil erosion and sedimentation control design, floodplain studies, permitting support, and construction support. Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.

Assists in production of final construction drawings and prepares permit applications for municipal agencies. Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects and assists project managers as requested. Attends client and public meetings, days or evenings, and assists with client contact and communication.

Participates in business development efforts as requested. Requirements

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a variety of people
  • Adaptable and able to respond quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Available to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary
  • Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • 2+ years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Design site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare conceptual grading analyses and site layout
  • Prepare due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis
  • Assist in production of final construction drawings
  • Prepare permit applications for applicable municipal agencies
  • Assist project managers as requested
  • Assist with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
