You will participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and developing microservices with Python, Node.js, React, and Postgres. Gather technical requirements, perform UI tests, and create test cases to ensure coverage. Build scalable, high-performing solutions that meet quality standards.

Work beyond your specialty on front-end, back-end, test automation, and deployment in a collaborative environment. Participate in sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and peer code reviews. Collaborate closely with Architecture and DevOps teams while communicating task updates.

Drive system delivery, introduce new technologies, and guide application evolution. Follow emerging technologies and leverage AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT for efficiency. Take ownership to shape the future of financial applications at Citco.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years of application development experience
Experience with Python, Node.js, React, Postgres
Knowledge of microservices and cloud native applications
Ability to work on front-end, back-end, test automation, deployment automation
Familiarity with agile practices including sprint planning and retrospectives

Responsibilities

Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
Design and develop Microservices systems with Python, Node.js, React, Postgres
Gather and address technical and design requirements
Perform UI tests to optimize performance
Plan, create and execute test cases applicable to user stories
Develop scalable, high performing, maintainable solutions meeting high quality standards
Participate in peer reviews of code to ensure development standards
Troubleshoot and debug applications
