Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialised utility programs. Analyse user needs and develop software solutions with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.

Monitor and identify software defects to maintain fully functioning applications. Carry out customer support activities, handling more complex cases and enquiries. Contribute to development of existing and new applications by analyzing areas for modification and improvement.

Perform routine tests on website and applications software to diagnose and correct performance issues. Support implementation of security measures like firewalls or message encryption. Work individually or coordinate database development as part of a team.

Implement improvements and provide feedback using change management systems. Develop own capabilities through assessment, training, coaching, and ongoing education. Learn new languages and technologies while maintaining knowledge of industry best practices.

Requirements

School Grade 12 (Required)
3 or more years experience using relevant programming languages or technologies (Essential)
Azure experience (Advantageous)
Ability to analyse user needs and develop software solutions
Knowledge to design software or customise software for client use
Understanding of databases within an application area
Familiarity with relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices

Responsibilities

Monitor and identify software defects and suggest corrections for approval by more senior colleagues
Carry out a range of customer support activities, including handling complex customer cases and enquiries
Contribute to development of existing and new applications by analyzing areas for modification and improvement
Perform routine website and applications software tests to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues
Implement improvements and provide feedback using change management systems and protocols
Support implementation of required security measures such as firewalls or message encryption
Develop own capabilities by participating in training, coaching, and ongoing education on new languages and technologies
Develop working knowledge of organization's policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes
